Daily Powerpoint Flow Chart - Year at a Glance
As teaching has changed from overhead projectors to powerpoint presentations, so has my organizational techniques.
Â
To support my own ease of finding and using daily powerpoint lessons (i.e Google Slides - most currently); I started attaching each created lesson, all needed classroom materials for printing, and even possible substitute lessons to their specific math learning target date.Â
Google Sheets
Example:Â
Leadership Planning - Fluid Student Movement PlanÂ
Goal:
Create daily movement of students for targeted intervention or acceleration.
Â
Pain Points:
35 minute time block. Too much time is lost if students check into one teacher for attendance prior to going to another for need focused class instruction.
Â
As a sixth grade team we served approximately 250 students. many of which changed teachers during this Period Block. These student movements need to be swift, organized and fluid, while also flexible revolving around an alternating Even/Odd daily class schedule.
Powerpoints
Example:
Engaging Design and structured Powerpoint LessonÂ
Goal:
Create consistent routines, interactive engagement and visual clarity.Â

Pain Points:
Students can often forget expectations as they go from class to class. Teacher run their classrooms in varied ways. This can cause students to not know what to expect from class to class.Â
Â
I've found having consistent starting slides to focus into the class learning atmosphere and expectations to be key. Building interconnected, frictionless digital/visual ecosystems for my students every single day.
Data Analysis
Example:Â
Merging Qualitative and Quantitative Inquiry
Doctoral Research:
A comprehensive study exploring how behavioral design and engagement architecture can be utilized to foster intrinsic motivation in learners.

Goal:Â
Translate behavioral psychology into actionable design elements, shifting the user from forced compliance to an intrinsic motivation directing learning.

Pain Points:Â
Students lack a meaningful drive to learn. They rely heavily on extrinsic metrics (like grades) that fail to build long-term retention, confidence, or genuine interest in the material.
